What happens in the event of late payment?

If a premium is not paid on time despite a payment reminder, a dunning notice is issued (CHF 20.00 per reminder) and, if necessary, debt enforcement proceedings are initiated (CHF 50.00 enforcement opening costs).

Important: In deviation from Art. 20 VVG, the obligation to perform towards the landlord is not suspended in the event of outstanding premiums. The landlord remains protected, even if the tenant fails to pay the premiums.
