If there have been changes to the tenancy agreement – e.g. a person leaving or joining the tenancy – we can update your rental deposit surety bond and issue a new surety certificate.
Please note that you must complete a new registration if the property address changes. In this case, it is a new rental property and therefore a new contract.

Notify of the change
Inform goCaution by email at service@gocaution.ch about the change to the tenancy agreement.
Submit documents
Send an addendum to the tenancy agreement, a new tenancy agreement or other written correspondence documenting the change.
Receive the updated certificate
goCaution updates the surety bond and issues a new surety certificate.

In many cases, the landlord reports such amendments directly to goCaution, particularly when the contracting parties change. Nevertheless, it is advisable for tenants to inform us proactively to avoid delays.
